Description
A large circular dining table featuring a heavy-gauge metal tabletop supported by a wrought metal pedestal base. This was constructed from a Hollywood take up reel used in Detroit Theater in Cleveland, Ohio. The tabletop exhibits a concentrically brushed finish with a flush-mounted central metal plug and two symmetrically placed small circular apertures. The supporting base consists of four curved upright members joined by double-level rectangular stretchers. Each upright is decorated with an openwork diamond-pattern lattice and terminates in large stylized scroll feet formed from bent metal strapping. The entire piece is finished in a silver or pewter-toned metallic texture. This is an indoor/outdoor piece measureing 51.5×30
