Description
A two-piece US Army Green (AG-344) Service Uniform, also known as a Class A uniform, consisting of a dress coat and matching trousers. This uniform dates to the Vietnam War era, as evidenced by the 1967 contract code DSA100-67-C-1420 found on the internal labels. The garments are constructed from a tropical weight fabric blend of 60% polyester and 40% wool. The coat features Specialist 4 (SP4) rank insignia on both sleeves, represented by a gold eagle on a dark background with a single arc. The left shoulder bears the patch for the US Army Signal Center and School (formerly at Fort Monmouth), featuring an orange-bordered shield with a white lightning bolt and a gold sword on a blue field. Collar insignia include a circular U.S. disk on the right and Signal Corps crossed signal flags with a torch on the left. A single Army Commendation Medal ribbon is mounted above the left breast pocket. The coat is finished with gold-tone Great Seal of the United States buttons.
