Description

Antique .31 caliber scissor-style combination bullet mold designed for casting ammunition for percussion pocket revolvers. The tool is constructed of forged or cast iron and features two casting cavities: one for a spherical lead ball and one for a conical picket bullet. It is equipped with a top-mounted sprue cutter plate that pivots on a slotted screw to shear excess lead. The side of the block is stamped with the caliber designation 31 and the letter K. This style of mold was standard for mid-19th century pocket firearms. Length: approximately 4.5 to 5 inches.
