Description
A three-dimensional board game titled Space Checkers, manufactured by Pleasantime. This game, circa 1965, features a vertical tiered gameplay system designed for two players. The components include a large molded red plastic base, a set of square opaque red plastic platforms, and stacks of circular plastic checkers in red and black. The game is housed in its original illustrated cardboard box, which features mid-century atomic age graphics in a yellow, red, and black color scheme. The box front is marked with the Pleasantime brand name in cursive and the patent number U.S. PAT. #D-200-109. The red plastic base is embossed with the title SPACE CHECKERS TM and a central atomic symbol. The box art depicts transparent platforms and vertical support poles, which contrasts with the opaque red platforms visible in the packaging.
