Description
A collection of ten lithographed tin-plated steel bottle crown caps presented in a wooden shadow box display case. The assortment features a variety of beverage flavors and brands characteristic of the mid-20th century. The collection includes generic flavor caps for Strawberry Soda, Orange Soda, Cherry Soda, Lemon Sour Soda, Grape Soda, and Lime Soda, most of which are labeled with the text Artificial Flavor and Color. Also present are caps for Root Beer and Birch Beer. The display includes two branded colas: a regional Coca-Cola cap and a Marbert Cola cap. The Coca-Cola cap is marked Minimum Contents 6 Fluid Ozs., Coca-Cola, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., Bottled by Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Meadville, Meadville, PA. The Marbert Cola cap is inscribed Marbert The Distinctive Cola Beverage. The caps are arranged on a white fiber batting background within a wooden frame with a glass front. The frame is equipped with a small metal latch on the right exterior side.
