Description
This collection consists of several , small-format children books published by the Whitman Publishing Company (Western Publishing), featuring titles from the Big Little Book and Better Little Book series. The group includes Flash Gordon in the Water World of Mongo, Walt Disney’s Donald Duck: Luck of the Ducks, Walt Disney’s Goofy in Giant Trouble, and Tom Swift and his Magnetic Silencer. These volumes are small-format softcovers with pictorial covers, characterized by a thick profile and high-acid pulp paper pages. The internal layout features text on the left-hand pages facing full-page black-and-white illustrations on the right. Several volumes include flip-book animation sequences in the upper corners, marketed as the See em move feature. The Goofy volume is authored by Don Christensen and bears the Racine, Wisconsin, imprint of Western Publishing Company, Inc.
