Description
This lot features a Sears rifle scope designed for .22 caliber rifles, presented in its original retail box. The scope is finished in a blued black and is equipped with translucent plastic lens caps connected by a cord. It features a single top-mounted adjustment turret for windage and elevation with a slotted screw and a dial marked with the letter L and a clockwise arrow surrounded by incremental hash marks. The scope body shows light surface dust. The original cardboard box is decorated with black and orange graphics of a squirrel in crosshairs and a scoped rifle. Key markings on the box include SEARS, SEARS, ROEBUCK AND CO. AND SIMPSONS – SEARS LIMITED, MADE IN U.S.A., RIFLE SCOPE, for .22 caliber rifles, and SHORT RANGE ACCURACY AT LONG RANGE TARGETS. The box exhibits moderate signs of storage wear, including creasing and edge abrasions.
