Description
A set of four Japanese-style decorative porcelain eggs featuring hand-painted overglaze enamels and gilded highlights. The decoration utilizes the moriage technique, consisting of raised white enamel dots applied to the vertical borders and floral centers. Each egg displays nature-themed motifs within decorative panels, including a songbird on a yellow blossom, pomegranates with purple flowers, butterflies among peonies, and a multicolored floral bouquet. The primary pictorial scenes are set against pale blue or white backgrounds, alternating with patterned bands in black, brick red, and mustard orange. The tops feature a circular reserve with a stylized brown-and-gold floral design. The eggs are hollow-cast porcelain with circular openings at the base. No maker marks or signatures are present. Dimensions: approximately 2.5 to 3 inches in height.
