Description
A sterling silver necklace featuring a freeform pendant containing a polished section of an ammonite fossil set within its natural stone matrix. The double-sided specimen is polished to reveal the internal spiral chambers of the fossil on one side, while the reverse side shows a variegated surface in mottled tones of peach-orange and gray-green. The stone is secured in a custom-shaped sterling silver backplate setting with four prongs and a simple bail. The pendant is suspended from a fine cable link style chain. The chain is equipped with a spring ring clasp and a flat tag hallmarked with ITALY, 925 within a rectangular frame, and the characters V2. Chain length: Approximately 18 to 20 inches Pendant length: Approximately 1.5 inches.
