Description
22 in tall. A large industrial porcelain form manufactured by General Porcelain of Trenton, New Jersey, used for the production of rubber or latex gloves. The mold is modeled as a left hand with a long forearm, finished in a high-gloss creamy white glaze. The piece terminates in an oval, unglazed base featuring a central rectangular slot for industrial mounting. Several blue ink stamps are present on the lower portion of the arm: MAR 07 1992 indicating the production date, 10 1/2 22 inch specifying the glove size and form height, and the character C 16. A side stamp identifies the manufacturer as GENERAL PORCELAIN TRENTON, N.J. The unglazed underside of the base features a purple stamped number 26. Height: 22 inches Size: 10 1/2.
