Description
This collection features a framed set and an assortment of individually bagged numismatic items. The centerpiece is The Royal Windsor Collection – Pre-Decimal British Coins, which contains eight UK circulation denominations: farthing, halfpenny, penny, silver and nickel-brass threepence varieties, sixpence, shilling, florin, and half crown. These coins represent various metal compositions including bronze and cupronickel, with visible dates including 1932, 1936, 1946, and 1961. Included in the lot are twelve modern replicas of rare colonial and early US coins, each accompanied by a historical information card. These replicas include the Brasher Doubloon, Fugio Cent, Pine Tree Shilling, Willow Tree Shilling, North East Shilling, Sommer Island Shilling, Massachusetts Cent, Nova Constellatio, Janus Copper, New Hampshire Copper, Bar Cent, and Washington Eagle Half Dollar. Additional items comprise an aftermarket gold-plated 1999-P Pennsylvania US State Quarter, a Japanese 10 Yen bronze coin dated Heisei 16 (2004), and a mid-20th-century UK bronze coin featuring the laureate Mary Gillick portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
