Description
This lot features a collection of 1972 United States Proof Sets. Each set contains five proof coins struck at the San Francisco Mint, identified by the S mint mark on the obverse of each coin. The denominations included in each set are a Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Washington quarter, and Kennedy half dollar. The coins exhibit proof characteristics, including mirrored fields and frosted devices. Each set is housed in its original black plastic display holder, which features a central silver-toned eagle emblem and the script inscription United States Proof Set. The holders are marked PACKAGED BY U.S. MINT in the upper left corner. The holders are contained within their original blue cardboard outer envelopes, which are printed with the text United States Proof Set ? 1972.
