Description
This lot features a collection of United States military officer rank insignia and two leather holsters. The insignia group consists of silver-tone metal devices with clutch-back fasteners. Included are two matching bars for the rank of Lieutenant General featuring three stars, marked with the code 832 on the reverse. There are four eagle insignia pins for the rank of Colonel, which bear the manufacturer code GIC 603 on the reverse. A single block-letter US collar device is also included. One holster is a brown leather belt model produced by Audley, featuring a unique internal spring-loaded steel retention clip. The reverse of this holster is stamped with the maker’s mark AUDLEY PATENTED OCT. 13, 1914. The second item is a brown leather shoulder holster rig with an integrated belt and cartridge loops, decorated with stamped leaf and wheat motifs.
