Description
9×11 A cast iron doorstop in the form of a standing rooster. The item is constructed with a high-relief molded front and a hollowed-out reverse. It features a polychrome painted finish with a red comb and wattle, a yellow and orange neck, a red and black patterned body, and dark green tail feathers. The rooster stands on a decorative base molded to represent a grassy mound with a scrolled lower border. The front of the base features hand-painted gold-tone lettering and decorative flourishes including the names Douglas and Conn.
