Description
This is a pressed glass lidded bowl manufactured by the Imperial Glass Company during the period of ownership by Lenox, between 1972 and 1981. The piece is constructed from clear glass with a frosted acid-etched finish, referred to by the manufacturer as Crystal Satin. The oval-shaped bowl rests on a flared pedestal base. The domed lid is crowned with a molded finial in the form of a bird. The center of the interior bowl features a molded starburst pattern. The underside of the base retains two original factory labels: a rectangular black and silver foil label printed Imperial LENOX and a white paper label with the model number 51906 S, the pattern name DOVE, and the finish C/SATIN. 9×7.5×5
