Description
A collection of three hand-blown contemporary studio art glass pieces featuring various techniques and forms. The first piece is a tall sculptural glass vessel by Romanian artist Vasile Tubi Vadan. The hand-blown form features a mottled lime green upper body that transitions into vertical brown and bronze-toned striations. The vessel terminates in a distinctive tightly scrolled foot with a clear glass stabilizing pad for support. It includes an applied dark amethyst glass handle with a large stylized scroll at the upper rim. The second piece is a pulled color vase with a bulbous body and a tapered neck ending in a four-lobed ruffled rim. The decoration consists of a mottled white and yellow upper section transitioning into a pulled flame-like pattern of vibrant blue and coral-pink. The rim is finished with a dark iridized purple border. The vessel sits on an applied clear yellow twisted glass ring base. The third piece is a frit glass hanging vessel, designed as a hummingbird feeder or bud vase. The conical body is densely covered in multi-colored glass frit in shades of white, lime green, and orange over a dark blue ground. It features a wide flared cobalt blue rim and is topped with a clear glass suspension loop. Tall vase: approximately 14 inches tall. Pulled color vase: approximately 9 inches tall. Hanging vessel: approximately 7 inches tall.
