Description
This lot consists of a automotive stop light that has been repurposed as a desk lamp, paired with a spare lens. The primary unit features a red glass lens produced by the Do-Ray Lamp Co. of Chicago, Illinois, with STOP embossed in the center. The mounted lens is marked MADE IN U.S.A. at the top and DO-RAY LAMP CO. CHICAGO at the bottom. The circular black metal housing is secured to a custom raw steel base using an L-shaped bracket. The lamp is wired for standard 110V electrical service with a black plastic cord, a two-prong plug, and an inline rotary switch. Included is a spare red glass lens from the Trippe Manufacturing Co. of Chicago, Illinois. This spare lens is marked STOP across the center and TRIPPE BEAM TRIPPE MFG. CO. CHICAGO ILL. along the bottom edge. Base: 12 inches wide Housing: 7.5 inches diameter.
