Description
6×3.5 A pair of industrial utility signs constructed from vitreous enamel on a heavy-gauge metal base. Each rectangular sign is fitted with four brass corner grommets for mounting. The first sign features a vibrant orange-red background with bold white sans-serif block lettering reading WASHING WATER ONLY. The second sign features a dark forest green background with white sans-serif block lettering reading DRINKING WATER ONLY. The reverse of both signs is finished in a dark, mottled blue-black enamel coating. This pair represents classic mid-20th-century facility signage typically found in industrial, municipal, or railway environments to distinguish between potable and non-potable water sources.
