Description
6×9 This is a pressed glass dish manufactured by the Fenton Art Glass Company. The item is crafted from opaque pale yellow-green custard glass, a variety of uranium glass that exhibits a vibrant green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. The glass features a satin or acid-etched matte finish. The dish is designed with a square-shaped body, a crimped or ruffled rim, and two applied loop handles. The interior is molded with the Butterfly pattern, consisting of a central butterfly motif and four additional butterflies positioned around the inner walls. The underside features a smooth, molded circular foot with no pontil mark. The base is embossed with a vertical oval Fenton logo. Within the oval, the name FENTON is horizontal, and a small numeral is present below the name, identifying the piece as a late 20th or early 21st-century production.
