Description
A trio of Chinese carved stone dragon figurines of varying styles and materials, likely dating to the mid to late 20th century. The collection includes a large central piece featuring intricate openwork (pierced) carving in a mottled light green and off-white hardstone with dark gray inclusions, characteristic of bowenite. This figure depicts a traditional S-shaped dragon with textured scales resting on a base of stylized waves or clouds. The second piece is an angular, stylized dragon carved from a translucent orange stone with a glassy luster, likely honey calcite or orange aragonite, mounted on a rectangular plinth of the same material. The third figurine is a horizontal, low-profile dragon in a polished dark forest-green stone, possibly serpentine or dark nephrite, decorated with simple incised geometric scale patterns. No maker marks, signatures, or reign marks are visible on the bodies or bases of the items.
