Description
This lot consists of a vintage wooden storage chest containing an assortment of mineral specimens, carved stones, and divination items. The rectangular box is constructed with finger-jointed corners and a hinged lid. The lid is decorated with a mid-century style decal depicting a reclining nude female figure surrounded by colorful bubbles. A white adhesive label on the reverse identifies the source as Atlee Raber Auctions with lot numbers 349 and 410. The contents include a variety of tumbled, polished, and rough mineral specimens. Polished pieces include a large orange-brown quartz sphere, rose quartz, amethyst, green aventurine, banded agate, and red jasper. Rough specimens include pieces of pyrite, a translucent selenite wand, and blue apatite. Divination and metaphysical items feature a set of dark blue stones engraved with gold-toned Norse runes and a set of tiger’s eye stones engraved with mystical symbols including an eye, a triquetra, a crescent moon, and a star. Additional items include a carved black stone crescent moon and a clear quartz pendulum attached to a silver-toned metal chain. Width: 10 inches (approximate).
