Description
This collection consists of eight vintage American magazines published between 1960 and 1965, with a primary focus on the presidency and memorial legacy of John F. Kennedy. The group includes two issues of The Saturday Evening Post and six issues of Look magazine. The Saturday Evening Post issues consist of the November 16, 1963, issue featuring the Fischer Quintuplets and the December 14, 1963, In Memoriam issue featuring a cover illustration of John F. Kennedy by Norman Rockwell. The Look magazine issues include January 19, 1960 (Franklin D. Roosevelt biography), December 3, 1963 (The President and His Son), December 31, 1963 (In Memory of John F. Kennedy), February 25, 1964 (Pope Paul VI with a Robert Kennedy tribute and 3-D photo insert), November 17, 1964 (The JFK Memorial Issue), and August 10, 1965 (Kennedy by Sorensen). All magazines feature original subscriber mailing labels affixed to the front covers, addressed to Jas J. Weinrich or James Weinrich of Marshallville, Ohio.
