Description
26×10.5 An Art Deco floor-standing smoker’s stand or ashtray, circa 1930s. The piece is constructed from cast metal, likely iron or a similar weighted alloy, and features a dark gray or black finish with metallic undertones. The structure consists of a weighted, stepped circular base rising to a fluted central column. The top features a circular tray with a deep, recessed ash receptacle. Mounted across the top of the tray is a decorative cast metal handle depicting a leaping gazelle or antelope, characteristic of Art Deco design motifs. The handle retains remnants of a brass or bronze-toned finish. A white string auction tag is attached to the handle. No maker’s marks are visible.
