Description
A collection of twenty-seven US Jefferson five-cent coins. The group includes seven specimens dated 1940 and twenty specimens dated 1959. Struck in a standard copper-nickel composition (75 percent copper, 25 percent nickel), these coins feature the Jefferson obverse and the Monticello reverse design. The lot includes Philadelphia and Denver Mint issues. The coins are accompanied by two pink paper slips with handwritten notations regarding the date and quantity of each group.
