Description
8x8x8 This clear pressed glass covered dish features a reclining fox figure on a textured mound, commonly referred to as a Fox on a Nest. The two-piece set includes an oval base with a detailed basketweave pattern and a fitted lid topped with a figural fox finial. The entire piece is finished with a heavy stippling or ice glass texture, which gives the glass a semi-matte, frosted appearance. The interior center of the base contains an embossed rectangular cartouche with three geometric or character-like symbols. This specific design and texture are highly characteristic of pieces produced by the Polish glassmaker Huta Szk?a Gospodarczego Z?bkowice, though the mark is not definitively legible.
