Description
7.5×4 This two-piece circular porcelain box features a domed lid decorated with a central portrait of a young woman with long auburn hair and a pink floral accent. The portrait is a transfer-decorated image with hand-painted highlights, surrounded by a wide border of elaborate gilt rococo-style scrolls and floral motifs. The exterior of both the lid and base is finished with a shaded ombre glaze transitioning from deep burgundy-brown to an amber-yellow center. The sides of the base are further accented with four separate gilt scrolled motifs. The interior is finished with a plain white glaze. The underside of the base is unmarked, showing an unglazed foot rim and a small patch of adhesive residue.
