Description
A collection of US Lincoln wheat cents (KM#132) dated 1941 and 1942. This lot includes specimens from the Philadelphia and Denver mints. Each coin features the standard Lincoln Wheat obverse and reverse designs. The coins are housed in individual white cardboard and plastic 2×2 flips with handwritten notations including 1941, 1942, 1942-D, and 1942 P. The specimens are struck in a copper alloy consisting of 95% copper and 5% tin and zinc. These coins were minted during US involvement in World War II, immediately preceding the 1943 steel cent transition. Diameter: 19.05 mm Weight: 3.11 grams.
