Description
15 in. A two-part Victorian style electric parlor lamp, often referred to as a Gone with the Wind lamp, constructed from molded opaque white milk glass. Both the globe shade and the bulbous base feature an embossed floral motif of wild roses tinted in pink and white with yellow centers, accompanied by green foliage. The base displays vertical ribbing, and the top rim of the shade is finished with a scalloped edge, both of which are accented with pale yellow cold-painted highlights. The shade is held by a brass-toned metal wire fitter. The lamp is wired for electricity with a brown cord. The embossed design is consistent with Victorian-era patterns such as the No. 4 Pomona pattern produced by the Fostoria Glass Company.
