Description

20×12. This item is a collectible scale model of the Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, the aircraft famously piloted by Charles Lindbergh. Based on visual characteristics and market consensus, this model is attributed to Corgi as part of their Smithsonian Collection series. The model is constructed of die-cast metal with a silver-tone painted finish. It features a static design with a black two-blade propeller, fixed landing gear, and is mounted on a curved black display stand. The fuselage nose is inscribed with Spirit of St. Louis in black script. The top of the wing and the vertical tail fin feature the registration number N-X-211 in black block lettering. The tail fin also includes a boxed area containing the text RYAN over NYP. An auction tag from Atlee Raber Auctions is attached to the stand. No manufacturer marks are visible on the exterior of the model.
