Description

14x8x8 An antique hand-cranked glass butter churn, typical of early 20th-century American farmhouse kitchenware. The item consists of a square-profile clear pressed glass jar base and a heavy cast iron top mechanism. The base of the glass jar is embossed with the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company monogram, featuring a large capital letter H with a smaller letter A nested beneath the crossbar, along with the characters K 4 4. The top assembly is gear-driven with a hand crank and a turned wooden handle, operating a central metal shaft attached to a two-blade internal metal paddle. The design is in the style of Dazey churns produced during the early to mid-20th century.
