Description
This collection consists of thirteen pieces of vintage costume jewelry, primarily featuring owl and avian designs. The lot includes various pendants and brooches crafted from gold-tone and silver-tone base metals, accented with enamel, rhinestones, and faux stone elements. Pendants featured are a large stylized owl with red, green, black, and gold-tone enamel on a heavy rope chain; a gold-tone owl with green rhinestone eyes and a large marbled blue glass cabochon; a shield-shaped owl with cream enamel and articulated feather dangles; a silver-tone totem-style bird with mosaic inlay; a stylized female figure with mosaic inlay; and a small silver-tone openwork owl with red rhinestone eyes. The assortment of brooches and pins includes a large owl encrusted with pink and red rhinestones; a horizontal pin depicting three flying birds with red enamel and clear rhinestones; two small gold-tone owl brooches with green rhinestone eyes; an enameled songbird in orange and brown; an openwork bird featuring three faux pearls; a pair of small silver-tone owl pins with turquoise-colored beads; an enameled owl with red wings and blue rhinestone eyes; and a novelty bird pin with a green wing and black top hat. Materials include opaque enamels, multi-colored rhinestones, faux pearls, and turquoise-colored glass or resin beads. Mechanisms include standard pin stems with safety catches, bails for pendants, and one post-and-clutch fastener. No maker marks are visible on the pieces.
