Description
20×13. This vintage illuminated brewery sign features the Michelob brand, produced by Anheuser-Busch. The sign is constructed with a clear acrylic panel cut into a stylized beer bottle silhouette, accented with a painted orange border. A central red ribbon graphic is positioned behind a horizontal black molded plastic bar that displays the Michelob brand name in raised, translucent yellow lettering. The phrase on Tap is printed in white script at the bottom of the acrylic bottle form. The reverse side includes a black plastic housing for the electrical components, a metal mounting bracket, and a pull-chain switch. An original yellow foil label from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is attached to the housing, identifying it as an Indoor Electric Sign, Form 1, No. AT 434362. This piece is characteristic of American tavern advertising from the late 20th century.
