Description
62×80 This vintage American patchwork quilt features a traditional LeMoyne Star (eight-pointed star) pattern. Each star is pieced from various printed cotton fabrics including floral sprigs, ginghams, stripes, and polka dots in a mid-20th century palette of pastel pink, yellow, mint green, and sky blue. The star blocks are set within a white lattice-style ground. The piece is entirely hand-quilted, featuring square and diamond-shaped quilting stitches in the white areas. It is finished with a solid light green inner border and a blue fabric binding. The backing is a solid white cotton fabric with a visible vertical seam joining two fabric widths.
