Description
9×6.5×6.5 This manual box-style coffee mill was manufactured by The Sun Manufacturing Company of Greenfield, Ohio. The unit features a large, multi-colored lithographed paper label on the front identifying it as The Challenge No. 1080 One Pound Coffee Mill and Fast Grinder. The label specifies the use of steel burrs and includes the company’s stylized sun logo. The mill is constructed with a hardwood case featuring finger-jointed corners. The grinding mechanism, top hopper plate, and a side-mounted steadying handle are made of cast iron with a black finish. The top-mounted crank handle is finished with a turned wooden knob. A swivel lid on the top plate provides access to the internal hopper. The lower catch drawer is complete with a curved metal liner used to collect the ground coffee.
