Description
This two-piece three-dimensional cake mold is attributed to the Griswold Manufacturing Co. based on manufacturer pattern numbers. The mold is constructed of cast iron and is designed to bake a reclining lamb-shaped cake. The front section features detailed casting of the lamb’s wool and facial features, with the designation NO 866 incised at the base. The back section includes four small circular steam vent holes and features the number 736 cast into the handle. The two halves join together using interlocking lugs on the side handles. The cast iron has a dark, seasoned appearance.
