Description
66 x 76 This is an unfinished patchwork quilt top of American origin, constructed from various cotton and cotton-blend fabrics. The design features a bold geometric lattice of wide red bands set against a bright blue field. Four square patchwork blocks are inset into the blue sections. One block features a checkered pattern of solid green and a floral pink and white print. The other three blocks are multi-colored grid patterns composed of various scrap fabrics, including solids, stripes, and small prints. The construction displays a combination of hand-piecing within the scrap blocks and machine assembly for the larger structural sections. This is a single-layer piece and lacks batting, backing, and finished edges.
