Antiques Quilts and Toppers
Lot 68:
Description
76 x 76 This antique American cotton quilt features a hand-pieced Drunkards Path pattern, a classic geometric design composed of interlocking curved segments. The textile is rendered in a traditional two-color scheme of faded indigo blue and cream muslin. The construction is entirely hand-stitched, with fine quilting lines following the curves of the pattern in concentric arcs, complemented by a diagonal crosshatch pattern in the open white spaces. The central field is framed by a solid blue border and finished with a plain cream cotton backing. The thin profile suggests a natural cotton batting.
