Description
A group of mid-20th-century textile pieces manufactured by the Commercial Fabrics Corporation (Cofabco). These pieces feature a large-scale floral print depicting roses, hydrangeas, and trailing vines in shades of rose-pink, dusty blue, lemon yellow, and sage green. The pattern is printed onto a neutral, light gray or beige ground with a characteristic horizontally-textured barkcloth weave. The selvage edge on one piece contains the printed text A COFABCO GUARANTEED PRINT accompanied by a directional arrow and the word UP. Each of the four pieces appear to have been pre-cut for a specific sewing or upholstery project, such as a slipcover or chair cover.
