Description
76 x 90 This vintage handmade quilt made by the Milldebury, IN Amish. The white cotton top features a central design of an oval wreath composed of hand-appliqu?d and embroidered pansies in shades of purple, yellow, and pink with green stems and leaves. Smaller pansy motifs are placed at the center of the wreath and positioned symmetrically toward the corners and edges. The entire white field is densely hand-quilted with intricate scrolling floral patterns and a fine stipple background. The quilt is finished with a scalloped edge and a thin lavender binding. The reverse consists of a solid lavender cotton fabric that highlights the fine hand-quilting stitches.
