Description
33 x 76 This is a vintage hand-pieced patchwork quilt featuring a tied construction. The item is composed of large rectangular blocks joined by hand. Rather than traditional quilting stitches, the front, batting, and back layers are secured together with small loops of white yarn tied at regular intervals. The front face features a geometric patchwork design of alternating blocks in solid yellow and a purple and lavender vertical-striped fabric. The reverse is a single piece of cream-colored fabric with faint self-stripes and a printed pattern of multi-colored floral bouquets in shades of rose, purple, and yellow. The materials appear to be cotton or a cotton-blend.
