Description
42 x 60 This vintage cotton quilt features a traditional basket pattern, hand-pieced using a variety of scrappy fabric remnants including floral, striped, checked, and polka dot prints. The quilt is composed of fifteen individual blocks arranged in a three-by-five grid. Each basket block is set within a cream-colored cotton field. The quilting is executed by hand in a variety of motifs, including a prominent central stylized flower design within the alternating plain blocks and geometric line stitching around the baskets. The central field is framed by a narrow multicolored floral print inner border and a wider solid pink outer border. The quilt is finished with a matching pink binding and a solid off-white cotton reverse.
