Description
68 x 80 A vintage, handmade double-sided patchwork scrap quilt, hand-tied with colorful yarn rather than traditional quilted stitching. One side features a grid arrangement of various geometric patches in floral, plaid, gingham, and solid prints, incorporating a vertical section of irregular crazy quilt style piecing. The reverse side displays a large field of blue-toned floral patchwork and a hand-appliqued tulip motif in the upper corner. The quilt is constructed from a wide assortment of fabric remnants, including cotton and synthetic blends, consistent with mid-to-late 20th-century materials. The perimeter is finished with a patterned fabric binding.
