Description
44 x 56 This hand-quilted patchwork quilt features fifteen eight-pointed star blocks arranged in a three-by-five grid. The stars are constructed from cotton or cotton-blend fabrics, utilizing solid pink, a pink-and-white floral sprig print, and a small-scale calico print with blue and purple flowers on a white ground. The star blocks are machine-pieced and set within sashing made from the same blue and purple floral calico fabric. The quilt is finished with a solid medium-pink border and a lighter pink binding. The reverse side consists of a solid purple fabric. The quilting is executed by hand with white thread, featuring outline stitching around the geometric shapes of the stars and decorative scalloped patterns along the borders.
