Description
66 x 76 This mid-20th-century American scrap quilt features sixteen octagonal blocks, each containing a six-segment pinwheel or fan motif. The blocks are hand-pieced using a variety of cotton scrap fabrics, including ginghams, plaids, florals, and novelty prints. One notable novelty print features white fabric with rabbits emerging from top hats. The blocks are set within a sashed grid pattern composed of solid red and aqua blue cotton. The quilt is finished with a solid light blue cotton backing and is machine-quilted in vertical parallel lines.
