Description
This lot comprises an eclectic collection of and antique jewelry, accessories, and printed ephemera. Notable items include two printed cardstock illustrations titled The Kewpies Fun and Sun and The Kewpies Eating, both bearing the printed signature of creator Rose O’Neill. Disneyana is represented by three cast metal Mickey Mouse figures in a classic striding pose, featuring two dark patinated finishes and one silver-toned finish. A 1979 Coca-Cola Christmas card is included, featuring Haddon Sundblom-style Santa Claus imagery. The jewelry selection includes an oval portrait pendant in the Edwardian style depicting a woman with flowers in her hair, attached to a double strand of pink faux-pearl beads. A ladies’ wristwatch is present, featuring a rectangular face with Arabic numerals and a metal mesh cord band. Other accessories include a painted figural bird brooch, likely made of celluloid or an early plastic, a flower brooch, a silver-toned metal ring with a woman’s profile in relief, and a small metal band with a clear stone. Also included are two silver-toned metal buckles with embossed frog and lily pad motifs, one attached to a decorative chain. Additional components consist of a four-portrait military strip, a small framed and tinted photograph of a child in a pink dress, a character-head carved pencil, various hair clips, an anchor charm, and a small cameo button. Materials observed include base metals, silver-toned plating, paper, glass, faux-pearls, and likely celluloid or other early plastics.
