Description
Marcia of California ceramic covered wagon TV lamp, model P25. This mid-20th-century decorative lamp is shaped as a pioneer’s Conestoga wagon. The item is constructed of glazed ceramic with a multi-toned finish. The upper canvas cover features a glossy cream-colored glaze with molded folds. The lower carriage and wheels are finished in a walnut brown glaze with darker pigment in the recesses to accentuate the molded details. The base is finished in a mottled deep teal and green glaze, sculpted to represent an outdoor landscape. The reverse features a large circular aperture for housing a single light bulb. The lamp is operated by a metal toggle switch on the side and includes a standard two-prong brown cord. The base is incised with the marks MARCIA OF CAL P25 and USA. An original blue foil Underwriters Laboratories UL label is affixed to the back, reading Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. INSPECTED PORTABLE LAMP ISSUE 27354.
