Lot 157:
Description
This set of vintage kitchen glassware was manufactured by the Owens-Illinois Glass Company. The items are crafted from transparent emerald green glass and feature a square footprint with a diagonal ribbed swirl pattern on the sides. The collection includes a large storage canister with a solid, flat-topped metal screw lid and several matching spice shakers with domed, perforated metal lids. The base of the jars is embossed with the Owens-Illinois trademark, consisting of a diamond shape superimposed over an oval with a central circle. The embossed markings include the number 3 to the left, 4 to the right, and 3 at the bottom, which identifies the manufacturer and dates the production to approximately 1934-1944. These containers were typically designed for use as accessories in Hoosier kitchen cabinets.
