This primitive agricultural implement is a hand-carved four-tine wooden pitchfork, crafted from a single branched limb. The tool features a long, tapered handle that transitions into four integral, curved tines. The wood surface has been smooth-shaven and possesses a polished finish that highlights the natural grain patterns and knots. This piece exemplifies traditional folk art construction techniques used for 19th or early 20th-century farm tools.
