Description
A Chinese cloisonne enamel vase featuring a tapering cylindrical body with a rounded shoulder, a waisted flared neck, and a spreading circular foot. The vessel is constructed of a brass base with wirework cloisons filled with polychrome enamels. The decoration consists of a vibrant green ground decorated with an interlocking wan fret pattern. The primary motifs include large, stylized floral blossoms, such as peonies and lotuses, rendered in shades of blue, pink, red, and white with multi-toned leaves. The neck displays a similar green ground with scrolled foliate patterns and a central blossom. The sections are separated by decorative bands, including ruyi-head borders in blue and red. The lower section of the body features a border of stylized lappets in black and blue enamel. The flared foot is decorated with a turquoise fish-roe or scale pattern. No maker marks or reign marks are visible on the exterior or the base.
