Description
This lot features three miniature pressed glass covered dishes in animal forms, commonly used as individual salt cellars or trinket boxes. The collection includes one reclining rabbit lid on a basketweave patterned base in pink glass, one hen lid with a red-painted comb on a basketweave patterned base in clear glass, and one hen lid on a beaded hobnail patterned base in peach-toned glass. The items exhibit standard pressed glass construction with textured detailing on the animal figures and bases. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on any of the pieces. These forms were widely produced by various American glass houses throughout the 20th century. Length: Approximately 2 to 2.5 inches each.
